Algirdas Klova was born in 1958-10-26 in Kaunas. In 1983 he has graduated Lithuanian State Conservatoire (now – Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy) with composition studies. During the studies he got interested in folklore. In 1980 he has established the second Lithuanian country music group “Kikilis” and in 1988 – a folklore ensemble “Vydraga”. He was also a head of instrumental group of Vilnius University folklore ensemble “Ratilio”. Since 1991 A. Klova organizes folklore festivals “Griežynė”. He has worked as a correspondent, lecturer in music academy, presenter in radio. A. Klova is an author of two books and he has released some albums.
