Vytautas V. Landsbergis

Vytautas V. Landsbergis was born in 1962. He graduated Lithuanian philology and literature studies at Vilnius University. Together with other prospective Lithuanian cinematographs left to Tbilisi to study cinema direction at Rustavi theatre institute in 1987. Later interned in New York, Jonas Mekas cinema anthology archive and young European theatre directors’ courses in England.

V. V. Landsbergis works in several areas: theatre, cinema, literature (well known as the author of books for children) and, of course, singing poetry. Currently the artist has about twenty cinematic films, seven drama plays and has written plenty fairytale books for children and grown-up people. V. V. Landsbergis was awarded as the best book (“Rudnosiuko istorijos”) author and “Arklio Dominyko meilė“ book was selected as the best book for children and teenagers. V. V. Landsbergis danced and sang in folk ensemble Ratilio more than 10 years. Love to Lithuanian folk songs, glees and ballads have inpired him to release an album “Kaimiečių mantros” in 2004 and a year later – the album “Žiauriai gražūs romansai“
